In february I didn’t draw as much as I would have wanted, but I did couple of paintings in my sketchbook. At the end of the month I’ve started to feel upcoming spring and it shows in my sketches – I had a need to paint some meadows, but nothing elaborate – just quick lazy drawings, my attention span wasn’t the best so an 1 hour long sketchbook session was my limit.
Are those sketches any good? Meh. But I want to be authentic in those weird post-human times of AI slop, curating life for social media and show things that are not perfect or even simply not good. Couple years ago I would be ashamed of some of those sketches and probably just rip sone of those pages from the sketchbook, but now I’m proud. Proud because I’m showing up, I’m drawing and I’m having fun.
